Bob Leonard has a passion for creating successful business and leadership transformations. As a Managing Partner for Fortune Management, he brings 35 years of leadership, creative problem solving, team building and coaching experience to dental practices in the San Francisco Bay Area north of the Golden Gate in Marin, Sonoma and Napa counties.
Prior to joining Fortune Management, Bob mastered the art of executive coaching while working as a Group Chairman with Vistage International (the world’s leading chief executive membership organization). In this role, he helped numerous CEOs and key executives in various industries achieve positive, lasting growth both personally and professionally.
Before becoming an executive coach, Bob spent 25 years as an advertising executive helping Fortune 500 companies achieve their strategic business objectives. He is a former Vice President with the J. Walter Thompson Company – one of the largest and most respected advertising agencies in the world. His corporate business experience also included working as a marketing executive for Mercedes-Benz USA, where he managed all regional dealership advertising, direct marketing, database marketing and telemarketing in the United States.
Immediately after graduating from college, Bob served in the armed forces as a U.S. Marine Corps Infantry officer and achieved the rank of Captain. His academic credentials include earning a Master of Arts degree from Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education & Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts at Morehead State University.
Coincidentally, Bob has several close family members who are medical doctors in private practices.
Therefore, he literally grew up observing their best business practices.
Bob and his wife Kathy live in the Sonoma Valley where they play with their Australian Shepherd dog Clio. In his free time, he is very active in Rotary and various non-profit organizations. For most of the past decade, he has managed the Toys for Tots Drive in the Sonoma Valley and chaired the annual Sonoma Valley Joint Memorial Day Observance. He also served on the Board of Directors for Hospice By The Bay (Formerly Hospice of Marin).
